For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Mind Mechanics LLC is the data controller for personal information collected through this site.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit a form (for example, to request a working session) or sign up for our newsletter, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, company, role, company size, email address, and anything you write in a free-text field.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit, we and our service providers automatically collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring source, and interactions with the site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookie Policy below).
How we use your information, and our legal bases
We use personal information to:
- respond to your inquiry and provide the working session or materials you requested (legal basis: performance of, or steps prior to, a contract; and our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries);
- send you our newsletter and relevant updates where you have signed up (legal basis: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time);
- measure and improve the performance of our website and marketing (legal basis: your consent for non-essential cookies, and our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our site);
- operate, secure, and maintain the website (legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe, functioning site);
- comply with legal obligations.
How we share information (service providers)
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with the service providers who help us run the site and our outreach, acting on our behalf:
- DigitalOcean — website hosting and infrastructure.
- Resend — transactional email; processes form submissions and newsletter notifications.
- Anthropic — AI analysis powering the business diagnostic tool; diagnostic answers are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your report.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) — website analytics.
- Google Ads (Google) — advertising and conversion measurement.
- LinkedIn Ads (LinkedIn) — advertising and conversion measurement.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and the providers above store and process data in the United States and potentially other countries. Where personal data is transferred from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these providers rely on transfer mechanisms such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Lead and contact records are retained for two years after last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us at privacy@mindmechanics.com.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. If you are a resident of a US state with applicable privacy laws, you may have similar rights under that state’s law.
Children
This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
